Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011 RIP

Steve Jobs died yesterday.

Accolades from President Obama to the man in the street flooded the internet. People tweeted, facebooked and emailed their feelings about Steve Jobs.  I  re-read his speech  from his 2005 Stanford University Commencement speech His insights about life, death and making a difference through your work came through. Here it is.  I hope it inspires you as muchg as it has inspired me
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.
You have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.

Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful, that’s what matters to me."

What are your thoughts about Steve Jobs?

  1. Where are All the Good People? Meet Fred Kaplowitz He’s One of Them!

Fred is Smart, Giving and Warm Hearted! He’s also Very Good at Marketing.

I met Fred at local eating spot that I frequent in NYC – we struck-up a conversation and became friends soon after. I asked Fred for marketing advice and help, because I trusted him and knew right off the bat that he could get me moving in the right direction and he has!!

Although Fred and I aren’t in the same industry, his insight, real world experience, and back to the basics marketing approach is exactly what I needed.

We spent 4 hours talking and I came away from the conversation with clear focus and a simple, straight forward action plan that will work.

Fred didn’t ask me for any $$money, but I will pay him $200/hr for his time – it was well worth the visit.

If you have the chance to talk with Fred, or meet with him, do it—you will be very happy that you did!
